Click Action

Last updated by Rachel Cohen on July 17, 2017 16:31

With any paid plans, tag click action can be adjusted.

There are 4 options:

Same Tab: When viewers click through on this tag, the tab they are currently viewing the image on will refresh to show the link they have clicked on.

New Tab: When viewers click through on this tag, a new tab will open up to display the link they have clicked on.

Nothing: When viewers click through on this tag, nothing will happen. If you see that your tags on unresponsive this has likely been selected.

Automatic: This is the default setting. Automatic opens a new tab for clicks.

These can be used for a variety of reasons. Many users prefer new tab as it allows the viewer to continue viewing the original tagged image. In some contexts though, you may be using a ThingLink image as a navigational tool, where viewers should click to access a specific location. For this it may be strategic to use same tab. Nothing is for the user that wants to link to a video or image, but doesn’t want the viewer clicking through to where that asset is hosted.
