Uploading Images

Last updated by Rachel Cohen on March 08, 2019 14:13

The first step of image tagging is uploading your background image. There are two ways to upload your image:

1. Hard drive

Upload an image saved on your computer with this option. We support JPEG, PNG and GIF images up to 25mb. Keep in mind that images will be downsized to 1024px. If your image is larger, consider using the URL upload method.

2. URL

This method allows you to tag any images already online. To get the proper URL, right-click your image and select “Copy Image URL.” Paste the link into the web uploader to begin tagging the image. ThingLink will not store a copy of the image, just store a reference to the URL. This means that the original resolution and dimensions will be preserved. This also means that if the original image is removed or renamed from its host location your tagged version may cease to function.
