Note: 'Projects' have been radically reworked and replaced with the new 'Courses' feature. At the moment, it is possible to access Projects by clicking on your profile icon in the upper-right corner and selecting 'Projects' from the menu. However, we highly recommend transitioning to Courses as Projects may become unavailable in the future.
Projects allow teachers to create and assign ThingLink lessons to students. Teachers can upload background materials, provide context, assign to specific groups of students, and easily review student work in one place.
Creating a Project
Use the top navigation bar to access the Projects page. Once on the Projects page, click the blue Create Project button to create a new project.
When the New Project screen opens, name the project, choose a group to assign it to, and upload materials for students to work from. These can be examples from your own account, a rubric, approved background images for students to tag, or any other images. It is not necessary to include materials. Click Publish Project.
Student Use of Projects
Students find the projects assigned to them by selecting Projects in the top navigation bar. On the Projects page, individual projects are listed below. To view the details of a project click anywhere within the white project box, or on the View project text.
Within an individual project, the student can view the material added by the teacher in the Available content section. Hover over an image and click the eye icon to view the image or the arrows icon to clone the image.
In the My Work section, students see any work that they have submitted. There are three ways besides cloning to add work: choose from their ThingLink images, upload from the hard drive, or import from URL.
In the Group activity section, students can see the work of other members of the group.
