Switching between interface versions

ThingLink currently offers two interface versions: Saimaa (2020) and Ruovesi (2017). Saimaa is the most up-to-date version of ThingLink that will continue to receive new updates and fixes. However, you can still access the old interface version.

Individual accounts & paid teacher accounts

If you'd like to switch back to the old interface:

1. Click on your profile picture in the upper-right corner
2. Go to Profile Settings & select the 'General tab'
3. Click the 'Edit' button next to the Interface version setting and select 'Ruovesi':

If you'd like to switch from Ruovesi to the new interface:

1. Click on your profile picture in the upper-right corner
2. Go to Account settings & select the 'Interface settings' tab
3. Select the 'Saimaa interface (2020)' option
4. Click the 'Save changes' button at the bottom of the page

Organizational accounts

If your account comes with multiple user seats, your interface version is controlled by your organization admin via 'Organization settings'.

If you'd like to switch back to the old interface:

1. Select the 'Org settings' tab on the left.
2. Go to Org-wide Settings.
3. Click the 'Edit' button next to Interface Version, select 'Ruovesi (2017)' and click Save.

If you'd like to switch from Ruovesi to the new interface:

1. Go to 'My users' or 'My school' page & select the 'Settings' tab
2. Scroll down to the Interface version setting, click the dropdown menu and select the 'Saimaa (2020)' option:
   
3. Click the 'Save changes' and go back to the My media page. The page will refresh and you'll switch to the new interface. If that is not the case, please contact us.
