Students can create and edit projects in Tarina without signing in. Their projects are stored on their iPhones or iPads.
To share a project or submit it to a teacher, students need to sign in to their ThingLink accounts.
Prepare student accounts
Before students share their work, make sure they have ThingLink accounts and know how to sign in. Teachers and administrators can create student accounts in advance.
- Create accounts using CSV import. If you need to create accounts for multiple students, we recommend using CSV import. You can prepare the accounts ahead of time and give students their login details.
- Set up single sign-on (SSO), if available. We recommend using your school's SSO setup so students can sign in with their school-issued Google or Microsoft accounts instead of remembering a separate ThingLink password. Tarina may also offer Sign in with Apple if it is available for their account. SSO configuration may require help from a school administrator.
For account creation instructions, see Creating and adding new users.
How students sign in
See this article for more details and instructions you can share with students.
- Open Tarina and tap the profile icon in the top-right corner.
- Enter their school email address.
- Select one of the sign-in options shown for their account: ThingLink password, Google, Apple, or Microsoft. The available options depend on their school's setup.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to sign in.
Once signed in, students can share their projects or submit them to their teacher as described here.
If a student cannot sign in
Check that they are using the correct school email address and the sign-in method available for their account. If they are using a ThingLink password, make sure they have the correct login details.
Administrator users can always reset the student's password via the Organization menu.
You can also submit a support request if you'd like our team to assist.
