Tarina is a companion app for iPhones and iPads that allows students to create interactive stories by adding hotspots to images. Students can add text, media, and links between images to create interactive projects.
Students create and edit their projects directly on their devices, without needing an internet connection or an account. When they are ready to share their work, they can sign in to their ThingLink account to upload their projects to the ThingLink cloud.
Students can also submit projects to folders set up by their teachers in ThingLink, making it easy to collect and review student work.
Setting up Tarina for your school
There are three main steps to prepare Tarina for classroom use.
1. Install Tarina on student devices
Tarina is available for iPhones and iPads. Your school can install the app on student devices using a Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution or other application deployment methods supported by your institution.
For more information, see Deploy Tarina to student devices.
2. Prepare student accounts
Students do not need to sign in to create projects locally. However, they need ThingLink accounts to upload, share, or submit their work.
You can create student accounts manually through ThingLink or configure single sign-on (SSO) using your school's existing identity provider.
For instructions, see Prepare Student Accounts for Tarina.
3. Set up folders for student submissions
Teachers can create folders in ThingLink to collect projects submitted by students through Tarina.
Once the folders are set up, students can sign in to Tarina and submit their projects directly to the appropriate folder.
For instructions, see Collect and review student projects.
