Teachers can use folders in ThingLink to collect projects created by students in Tarina and review them through the ThingLink web interface. Once students have access to a folder, they can submit their projects directly from Tarina.
1. Create a folder in ThingLink
- Sign in to ThingLink and go to Media.
- Click Create folder (folder icon) in the top-right corner.
- Enter a name for the folder, such as your class name or assignment, and click Create.
You can create separate folders for different classes, groups, or assignments.
2. Give students access to the folder
Students need Editor access to submit their projects to the folder.
- Open the folder and click Manage access next to the folder name.
- Enter the names or email addresses of the students you want to add, or select an existing group.
- Select Editor as the access level.
- Click Save.
Students must have ThingLink accounts before you complete this step. See Prepare student accounts for Tarina.
Tip: You can use groups to give an entire class access without adding students individually. See Groups for instructions on creating and managing groups.
For more information about folder sharing and permissions, see Folders.
3. Have students submit their projects
Once the folder is ready, students can create their projects in Tarina and submit them when they are finished.
Students can work on their projects without signing in. However, to submit their work, they need to sign in to their ThingLink account from Tarina and select the shared folder as the submission destination.
For student-facing instructions, see Submit your Tarina project to your teacher.
4. Review student projects in ThingLink
Once students submit their projects, you can review them through the ThingLink web interface:
- Sign in to ThingLink and go to Media.
- Open the folder you shared with students.
- Select a project to open and review the student's work.
