What does ThingLink do? ThingLink helps you create interactive content to drive learner's engagement. ThingLink’s eLearning solution is designed for corporate training and educational service providers. It includes a complete cloud-based solution for building and monetizing virtual learning spaces made of interactive 360 images and videos. Our solution makes it possible for educational service providers to offer engaging learning experiences outside of their physical facilities, anywhere in the world. Virtual learning spaces can be shared to an LMS or viewed on desktop, touch screens, or VR headsets.
What kind of content can I create with ThingLink? You can use ThingLink tags in images and videos as well as 360° images and 360° videos! These may be used to enhance your infographics and maps, create narrated 360° tours and more.
Where can I use ThingLink? ThingLinks are fully responsive and work excellent on all devices, from small phones to large touch screens. Phones, tablets, desktops, touch screens, big screen TVs, mobile VR headsets, WebVR.
Can you download ThingLinks for offline use? As of October, 1st 2019, ThingLink scenes and tours can be downloaded for offline use on desktop as a part of closed beta. The feature will become publicly available on select paid plans later this month.
Upgrades, plans & free trial
What is the difference between K12 & Higher Education and eLearning? eLearning accounts are best-suited for training employees and organizing online courses, while K12 & Higher Education plans are oriented at educational organizations for using ThingLink in the classrooms, creating content for projects and assignments.
How do I upgrade my ThingLink account? You can upgrade to eLearning Professional by clicking the upgrade button and submitting your billing information. Your account will be billed & upgraded once the free trial ends. However, if you are looking for more custom options or wish to upgrade to eLearning Premium, we ask you to request a quote from our sales team. Learn more here
Do you have monthly plans and do I have to pay with card? We don’t have monthly plans at this time, but if you have a special reason or case please don’t hesitate to contact us. We can send invoices starting with the Premium license, Professional upgrades must pay with card.
What are authors? Authors are defined as anyone on your team who will be creating ThingLink content. For example, if your organization has 4 employees who will be creating ThingLinks, we would recommend 4 authors. You can share content across the team and collaborate under one profile.
What are users? Users are defined here as the actual learners or employees within your organization who will be typically consuming ThingLink content. The Professional license comes with up to 250 users and Premium starts with 250+ users. Request a custom quote to figure out the price for your usage. If you need to have a flexible option or have specific questions about users please contact us.
What does no publishing and publishing mean? Our Free Trial account allows you to fully explore ThingLink features and create interactive images, videos, 360° images and 360° videos. In order to publish this content or share it onward, you will need to upgrade to Professional.
Can I measure my ThingLinks' efficiency? Yes! All paid plans come with access to our built-in analytics service which lets you track performance of all your ThingLinks, embeds and individual tags.

360° content
Does ThingLink work virtual reality headsets? Currently ThingLink 360° content works through a mobile VR headset like Google Cardboard as well as through WebVR supported devices like Microsoft Mixed Reality headsets and Oculus. What browsers does ThingLink work with? ThingLink is compatible with all major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera, Edge). However, we strongly recommend keeping your browser updated as using old versions of browsers will likely result in technical issues.
Where is ThingLink hosted? Images, 360 images as well as VR experiences are hosted on AWS, while videos and 360 videos are hosted and streamed on Azure.
Can I change language in ThingLink? Unfortunately, ThingLink is available only in English.
Is ThingLink available in China? No, ThingLink is blocked in mainland China.
