In this article, you will learn how to:
- View the users connected to your organization
- Search and filter your user list
- Check account types, registration dates, and last activity dates
- Export your user list
For changing roles, passwords, or administrator rights, see Managing users. For deactivating or deleting users, see Deleting users and archiving content.
Who can access the Users page?
The Organization page and the options described below are not visible to all users.
- For educational accounts, all teachers can access the Users page. However, only administrators can manage user accounts and see all users connected to the school.
- For business/enerprise accounts, only administrators can access the Users page.
Viewing your user list
To access the list of users connected to your organization, select Organization from navigation bar:
This will automatically show you your user list. The user list displays each user's:
- Name
- Login email
- Account type
- Registration date
- Last activity date
For each account, click More options - the three dots next to the user - to manage the account.
Depending on your account type and permissions, you may be able to change the user's account type, change their password, deactivate their account, or delete the account.
Searching for a specific user
To find a specific user account, click the magnifying glass icon above the user list and enter the search term.
Filtering the user list
You can filter the user list or search results by clicking the filter icon next to the 'Add new users' button and selecting the available filter options.
You can filter users by:
- Email domain
- Registration date
- Last activity date
- Account type - teacher, student, or any account type. This option is available for school accounts only.
For registration date and last activity date, you can set only the From date, only the To date, or both dates to find users who registered or were active during a specific time period.
Reviewing user activity
The Last activity date column shows when each user was last active in ThingLink.
You can use this together with the filter options to find users who have not been active recently or to review users who joined during a specific time period.
Exporting your user list
You can also export your user list as a spreadsheet if you wish to share it with someone else or to make it easier to review.
To export your user list, simply click the 'Export users' button above your user list:
Note that it is not possible to export more than 5000 users via the user interface. If your organization has more users, contact our support team.
