Cloning creates an independent copy of a scenario that you can edit without affecting the original. You can use it to create a backup, develop a different version, or create a scenario that students or colleagues can clone and adapt.
The cloned scenario includes all blocks and connections from the original, but does not include learner progress, responses, or analytics data.

What is cloned
The cloned scenario includes all blocks and connections from the original, as well as the ThingLink scenes added to it. It does not include learner progress, responses, or analytics data.
What happens to ThingLink scenes in the scenario?
Any ThingLink scenes added to the scenario with a Media block are cloned too. ThingLink creates a folder for the cloned scenario in your account and places the cloned scenes in it. The new scenario uses these copies.
This means that changes made to scenes in the original scenario do not affect the cloned scenario, and vice versa.
Scenes that are part of tours
If a ThingLink scene added to the scenario links to other scenes through transit tags, the whole tour is cloned. ThingLink copies all the scenes linked from it and updates the transit tags in the copies to lead to the cloned scenes, so the cloned scenario contains a complete, independent copy of the tour. You don’t need to clone the connected scenes separately or fix the transit tags by hand.
The cloned tour scenes are organized in the scenario’s folder in the same way as when you clone a scene: the cloned scene is placed in a folder, with a subfolder holding the clones of its linked scenes.
Each scene is cloned only once, even if it is linked from several scenes, the tour loops back on itself, or the same scene is used in more than one Media block. All of those blocks and transit tags in the cloned scenario use the single copy. Only the scene added to the scenario and the scenes linked from it are cloned; scenes that link to it are not.
