Cloning allows you to copy content into your own account, including content made by other users. This can be used to collect images or videos you like, to make your own version of someone else’s content, or for teachers to share a project with students.
How to clone
To clone a piece of content, click 'More Options' (three dots) next to the image, then select 'Clone'. This will immediately create a copy of the media in your profile. You can click the 'Start editing' button to be taken to your copy of the media where you can add your own edits or click 'Close' to continue browsing.
Please note that certain functionality, such as 'Replace background image', is unavailable for clones.
Teacher tip: Create an original image with questions. Have your students remix the image and replace your text tags with answer tags.
Disallowing cloning
By default, all users are able to clone and edit your content. If you wish to disallow cloning of your content, go to 'Account Settings' and select 'Basic media settings'. Then uncheck the "Allow clone" box and click the 'Save Changes' button. Note that clones will always have a link back to the original content.
