ThingLink tag icons now automatically become smaller to avoid icon overlap and ensure mobile responsiveness. Check out the video below:
Notes
The effect is applied dynamically depending on the size of the embed when it's being viewed. This means that icon scaling might not be applied when viewing your content on desktop but will be applied on mobile. We highly recommend testing your content on mobile to see what it looks like to your viewers. You can also test it out by resizing your browser window, like in the video above.
The effect is applied to all icons. For example, if there are 10 icons and 2 of them overlap, all icons will be scaled down until no icons are overlapping.
The icons will not be scaled down below a set minimum size to ensure that they can be clicked or tapped. This means that the icons may still overlap in certain cases if they are too close to each other.
Editor preview
You'll notice that icons will scale down as you move them around in the editor:
Since the scaling effect depends on the size of the image/embed, we highly recommend testing it outside of the editor and on all devices that you plan to support. However, the editor view should give you a good idea of what it will look like on desktop.
